Just exactly 24 more hours until my plane leaves for New York City! I CAN’T WAIT!! I am so looking forward to this trip, the experience will be awesome! heck yeah! yahoo!!!

I bought a tourist book for NYC. The list of places where I want to go see are quickly expanding…here’s a sample:

Statue of Liberty – a picture of Lady Liberty up close and personal :)
Ellis Island
Empire State Building
Fifth Avenue — up and down it, lots of window shopping
Grand Central Terminal
Ground Zero
New York Public library
Midtown
Rockefeller Center
Tom’s Resturant – the outside is featured in Seinfeld — this one’s for you Jill :-p
Little Italy
China Town
Financial District — NYSE!
Battery Park
Carnegie Hall
Central Park — at least one corner of it, it’s freakin huge

Ok, so that wasn’t a sample… more like my intinerary. But oh well, I’ll bring back A LOT of photos. Hopefully some nice panoramic shots of the sights. Wee!!!

Recap of the weekend:

Friday: last day of work at Mentor Graphics — my group went out to lunch at Chili’s – got a free lunch and a $50 dollar gift certificate to Fry’s Electronics. I used that thing to ‘apply’ it to a previous purchase of a GeForce 6800 GT… ‘apply’ as in purchase a new one for $400 – $50 gift cert, then immediately return it using old receipt that has the $400 price hehe. I packed and packed.. cleaned a lot so i can get moved out to Corvallis.

Saturday: Jill helped me move to Corvallis. I tell ya, it was much easier than helping her move :) It was raining out that day… the drive down was alright, but rain was heavy at times. One car load held the majority of the stuff that I needed most – most importantly, my computer! :) My desk was setup again, so was the comp, the bed. My closet is in disarray… the boxes of the smaller items that i have are still packed away. I guess I won’t be touching those until the Sunday before school starts.

We had lunch at LocalBoys — good stuff — then a drive-by-tour of the OSU campus since it was raining. Jill apparently couldn’t speak that day haha, maybe a lil rum and coke will help out… err, at least maybe with the Spanish :-p

Sunday: Drove to Camera World and purchased a Quantaray 19-35mm lens. The lens is actually made by Sigma. So that’s pretty decent for $200.

I went back down to Wilsonville today to pack up the kitchen stuff, and clean the countertops. Liquid bleach is not something i want to smell ever again. Well, everything is packed. We turned in our keys and … good bye Wilsonville Summit. Half a year as passed. On to the next chapter of our lives.

I’m just waiting for the hours to count down, then I’m off to New York City!

Flight leaves: Monday 11:45PM – from PDX to Dallas/Fort Worth — DFW to La Guardia.. I’ll arrive Tuesday at 11:15 am EST. I’ll update you guys during the week.
